2014/04/29: Apparently there is light at the end of the tunnel after all this outrage: Yesterday I saw an election advertisement of a German party, the ÖDP (Ökonomisch Demokratische Partei which translates to Economically Democratic Party). I was surprised because this advertisement was in line with my way of thinking:
"Yes to Europe, but STOP the lobby, corporations, profit. Instead: Environmental protection, protection of animals, civil rights, bio agriculture, democracy. … Importance of humans should be far greater than the importance of economy".
I did some more research on the internet and read that the ÖDP is strongly against the planned free trade agreement TTIP. On their website I found the following (translation into English done by me. The website is in German only. Thus all information is subject to change):
"The alliance named 'TTIP unfairhandelbar' (the name translates to something like TTIP is unfair and cannot be negotiated) has started a broad petition against the free trade and investment protection agreement between the European Union and the USA. The ÖDP supports the alliance and collects signatures for this action. Particularly the non-transparency and the risks for democracy and constitutionality in connection with TTIP and CETA worry the people.
The fact that the EU commission has suspended negotiations of the investment protection agreement shows how big the civil-social pressure already is. Now it is a matter of increasing this pressure. We are not per se against trade agreements but argue for an alternative commercial policy as is formulated in the Alternative Trade Mandate (ATM): It is based on respecting human rights, sovereignty and democracy and is aiming for high social and ecological standards."
And another excerpt from their election program taken from their website (translation into English by me thus all information is subject to change):
"Turning away from the growth ideology and be in favor of fair
commercial terms
The ÖDP is in favor of an economic system which promotes ecological and
social oriented action. At a European level currently there is still the neoliberal
ideology ruling which is in favor of economic growth, high capital yields
and the self-regulation mechanisms of the markets.
Where this leads, one can see in the environmental destructions as well as in the returning financial market crises. Hence, the ÖDP demands an economic system without compulsion for constant growth. The ÖDP is basically in favor of the idea of the postal growth economy according to the principle 'Less is more'.
We want to achieve to have a better quality of life with less material expenditure. Therefore it requires a fundamental change of the economic basic conditions. The aim is the reduction of the ecological footprint of people, enterprises and states in order to have a global sustainable level".
So, finally a party that does not promote competition and growth. But what do I do with this party now? Should I elect them? Does it make sense? Does my vote evaporate if I give it to a small party? Nevertheless, what happens if this party gets more votes and makes the per cent hurdles? Are they then still able to promote their program or do they collapse and become part of the big unity party which depends on corporations, lobby, profit and personal success?
Meanwhile it is said that the ones we elect have nothing to say and the ones who do have influence cannot be elected. So, can we reach a change with our current political system or is a change of our political system necessary for sustainable change?
It is like in a marsh. Do we send new people in this marsh, so that they sink there, or do we begin to drain the marsh? Probably both at the same time, so that people with good intentions can act in favor of this planet and its inhabitants.
Whether I am taking part in the elections or not depends on my inner guidance on that day. Everything I am aware of is fragmentary knowledge based on manipulations deliberate misinformation, lies et cetera. I cannot know what is right or wrong. Particularly as there is no proper right or wrong outside of mathematics. There are simply different possibilities. However, I can ask my Higher Self to guide me in doing what serves the wellbeing of all in accordance with the highest possible outcome.
It fills me with confidence to read the excerpts from the ÖDP's election program in 2014. Even if this party does not stand a chance right now, it nevertheless meets the zeitgeist and arouses the interest of such people who start to wake up and are longing for alternatives.
At least I like what thy currently have in mind. I can only speak for myself. Does the party remain the same if they become more successful? I have no idea.
A medium once said that politicians are less and less themselves the further they are dragged into the system. They remain only a small percentage of who they really are according to the medium sensing those people because they are exposed to huge tugging, entanglements, or intrigues and so on. But who knows, truth is unearthed more and more, even in politics.
Anyway, I do not like the fact that devices are produced with predetermined breaking points that break exactly after the expiration of the guarantee time and need to be substituted by new devices and all that at the expenses of the environment.
Over all people could work a lot less if not everything was aimed on growth, and if the money which is invested in armament and wars would be used for the benefit of people, and if there was no more interest and compound interest.
Alternatives exist. They especially exist if we manage to escape from the old way of thinking and if we become aware of the misbeliefs and let go of them. There are endlessly many solutions even if we are told that is not so. It is only not in such a way if we remain in limited thinking. Let us escape, let us find new solutions, and let us climb the mountain to have a better view and see all the possibilities which are hidden while we are in the valley.
We climb the mountain be escaping the chains of darkness. Who is behind all those lies? These are dark forces. We only see their henchmen. Let us consciously say STOP. Let us stop feeding those forces. We do this by becoming aware of our shadow sides and thus by dissolving them. This is how we deprive energy from darkness. And we certainly further deprive energy if we become more and more aware of our lies. More about lies and other things can be found in the next chapter.
