Top-Heavy

2014/05/05: Yesterday I listened to an interview with an economist. Among other things he explained how our affluent society lives at the expenses of poorer countries. Through globalization the production of our consumer goods is outsourced to countries with no environmental regulations. Instead there are low breadwinners or maybe there is also child employment.

Our prosperity is financed at the expenses of others and the environmental damage is transferred into poor countries. Our economic system is based on growth and thus also on consumption increase which is sped up by suitable advertisement.

The poorer countries join in because there as well a middle class is forming and poor people want to get into it. We carry on with this game until even the last corners on earth are destroyed, unless we start to become more and more aware of such coherences and stop this to happen.

I talk about top-heaviness because after that interview my energy had bottled up around my head. I needed some time to let the energy flow through my entire body and evenly through my aura again by resting and meditating a little.

Although I found the economist's lecture very interesting, informative and absolutely eye-opening, there was this sort of energy traffic jam around my head and I wondered how that had happened.

Maybe it was due to the fact that emotions were missing. The issues were explained very well rationally but maybe without a certain authenticity. I guess this authenticity was missing because the telepathic portion was too low. If we communicate there is always a lot more than just language. There is charisma and body language but during this interview the main focus was on language.

The economist explained how freedom originates through being able to choose from less in order to regain the pleasure of free choice instead of being run over by a variety which demands too much of us. All he explained was very well understandable rationally but the feeling of freedom was not transmitted. While reciting about it his linguistic pattern did not change. He explained the regained freedom factually, rationally, and absolutely comprehensibly but it just was not emphatic.

Anyway, what I really liked about the interview was that it was pointed out how our present life models lead into a dead end and into destruction of this planet. All of it quite rational and thus top-heavy but for many people the ratio is a valid approach to instigate change.

But what led to this dead end in the first place? And how do we get out again? The answer given in the interview was: 'Freeing ourselves from opulence'. Although it is not a matter of forced renouncement but rather of discovering the madness of it all and by seeing it being able to revalue the things that cause real satisfaction in terms of 'less is more'.

So, what is freedom then? Freedom means to take over one's own responsibility again. And it means the ability of independent choice rather than being externally controlled. Do we need products because our society pattern urges us to possess them in order to be happy? It is the opposite. The dependence withholds happiness. Independence provides happiness.

It is comparable with drug addiction. Only when we do not need the drug any longer do we recognize how free we are without it. And prosperity does not equal the possession of more and more drugs, or the avarice for more, or possession of buying power in order to steer things. Buying power is mostly not ours.

Others control our buying power and therefore us. To take back our power means to act on one's own responsibility and to get rid of external control. Then wealth originates, a wealth caused by ourselves. Then we are able again to see what causes pleasure in our life, a pleasure that is intrinsic and not externally controlled.

As already mentioned in the chapter 'Work' Mahatma Gandhi once said "The earth has enough for everybody's need but not for everybody's greed". "Everybody's need" is a lot more than just basic care. The earth offers such a wealth, such a beauty. Not only earth offers it but the universe in general.

There exists inexhaustible infinite energy which is available to us. Only we are blind to it because we have a distorted image of freedom, wealth and power. With all the dependence and external control we do not see all the things life has to offer day by day anew. If we as a collective opened up to it we then would allow having paradise on earth. At least this is how I imagine paradise to be.

Unfortunately, it is not only that few get hold of almost everything but our complete globalized economic system keeps us within a cycle of dependence and fear. It seems difficult to get out.

We live in a cancer like growth which destroys nature and people and it is time to escape. This is happening more and more as the interview shows although it was a little top-heavy. But a little later I was able to pick up the great ideas some scientists come up with more and more. Or maybe more scientists get a chance to speak about topics they have dealt with for a long time already. Only the time was not ripe to find an open ear in the public. And not all scientific contributions are top-heavy. It was only this time that I noticed it extremely.

Or maybe it is just me being so used to different states of consciousness that I find things that most people consider to be ordinary as top-heavy. Once we start diving into different energies, travel into different lives or different dimensions, or fall into deep meditation, or be more conscious in our dreams then we are perceiving reality in a different way.

The ordinary ratio may then appear as top-heavy energy accumulated around the head. We are a lot more than just our body and we do have a far greater expressiveness than only through language. This expressiveness grows from the connection with our true Self and the union with our divine core.

If people come from a deep stillness and speak from a deep connection then energy can flow. In the moment of an encounter it is then in such a way that a large part of the information is exchanged energetically and only few words are necessary. If we become aware of this then it might be easier to sense what the other person is saying rather than focus on language that much.

Additionally there are different levels of communication. For example: I had got upset in a conversation with a friend because he had hurt my ego and I was about to discontinue the friendship. When I moved the situation into my heart everything suddenly changed. There was an absolute harmony between me and my friend, a wonderful flow of energy, it could not have been any better.

I almost had to laugh about such a huge difference between my hurt ego and my heart level. I then decided to listen to my heart and accept the beauty of our friendship. I worked on my ego's hurts a little later and had to grin how I possibly could overlook this miraculous connection on the heart level by my ego being hurt.

Through our top-heaviness we are not used to listening to our heart. But that is the place where so much goodwill, so much rest, and so much peace can be found. We can utilize that energy if we listen to our heart a lot more, stop, remember it and consciously draw out attention to that area.
